Rita Dominic, Okereke, Others Inspire Youths

On 26 January, movie stars, Rita Dominic, Stephanie Okereke and Kunle Afolayan, joined the list of celebrity speakers, who addressed over 2,000 youths at The Future Awards National Enterprise Conference held at the Main Auditorium of the University of Lagos.

It was a gathering of knowledge, ideas and impact as the Central Working Committee of the Future Awards dragged other notable speakers who impacted on the attendees, to the event. Present as speakers are Kola Oyeneyin of Venia Hub, Otto Orondaam of SLUM2School Project, Ugochukwu Nwosu of Microsoft, Idris Akinbanjo of Premium Times, Ola Orekunrin of Flying Doctors, Jason Njoku of Iroko TV, Bayo Omoboriowo, Idiare Itimomo, Adaure Achumba, Toni Kan, Steve Babaeko, Chibuike Aguene, and Bridget Awosika.

The event also featured seasoned veterans and mentors including: Ms. Mo Abudu, Chief Executive Officer, Inspire Africa, and Iquo Ukoh, Executive Director, Nestlé Plc.

They both shared their life experiences and left the guests with some very fundamental nuggets of life: “Each time someone says No to you, someone else is about to say YES,” Mo Abudu told the gathering, while Ukoh inspired with the words: “It is only in the dictionary that success comes before work.”

At the conference, the CWC of The Future Awards also launched the TFESS website (tfess.com) a jobs/enterprise application for youth.
