Kudevi Joseph Taiwo is the captain of BRF Academy. He has been with the academy since 2009. Kudevi told P.M.NEWS Grassroots Soccer Guide why he joined BRF Acdemy and his experience in Spain

When did you join BRF Academy?
I joined BRF Academy in 2009 after I was successful at the screening conducted by the management of the academy. Most of the players selected were picked on merit and I am happy that I was among the 30 lucky players that joined the academy that year.
What are the differences between BRF Academy and other football academies in the country ?
There are a lot of differences. BRF Academy give monthly salary to its players. The players used to camp for at least a week before any tournament. We are handled by experienced coaches who are former players for this country. BRF Academy have been exposing its players to country such as Spain, Ghana and some states in Nigeria. These are some of the good things we have been enjoying in the academy.
What are the challenges facing you as an upcoming player?
I don’t have any challenge. I am happy in the academy. Everything is going on the way I want it. I can see improvemnet in my game everyday.
What made you choose BRF Academy?
The academy is run like a professional club. The players are contented because we don’t lack anything. We eat good food and the environment is conduicive.
Can you recollect your happiest day since you have been playing football?
My happiest day was when I travelled to Spain for the U-19 invitational international football competition. The tournament was a good one for me to gain exposure. Though we came back home with the second position, it was a sweet experience because I had the opportunity to mix with Spanish players and toured some places in Spain.
Where do you see yourself in the nearest future?
I see myself playing in FC Barcelona. I like the club because of the style of play of the team. I must confess, Barcelona are my dream team if I have my way to play in Europe.
