It was a celebration galore for Comrade Samson Idowu House (Blue House) after they emerged the champions at the Eminent Group of School Inter House Sports Competition.
The Inter House Sports which held last week at the Agege Stadium saw Idowu House dictating the pace in all the events competed for.
In the final result released by the school officials, Idowu House emerged the champions with 19 gold, 15 silver and 11 bronze medals, Alhaji Fawole House (Yellow House) placed second with 12 gold, 16 silver and 14 bronze medals.
Otunba Aliu House (Purple House) and Ayodele Adelusi (Green House) House placed third position with 12 gold, 11 silver and 12 bronze. According to the officials, the two houses maintained third position.
Reacting to the victory, captain of Idowu House, Samuel Terzungwe told P.M.NEWS Sports that his team deserved to be crowned champions.
He said the victory was made possible by all the athletes of the House, adding that they will be out to retain the trophy in the next edition.
“Our victory was well deserved because all the members of my House did well in all the sporting events. It was a good outing for us and I am happy that we emerged the winners at the end of the day,” he said.
Principal of the School, Mr. Gbeminiyi Sotunde gave thanked to God for the success of the school’s Inter House Sports and charged parents and guardians to allow their children involve in sports regularly.
In her own comment, Director Administration of the school, Mrs. Yetunde Aliu expressed joy with the success of the competition. She said all the Houses did well, but the better House emerged the winners.
