Nigeria To Mark 100% RAW P/lifting Fed Anniversary
Africa affiliate to US-based 100% RAW Powerlifting Federation will mark the second anniversary of the body in Nigeria in July this year.
Chairman for Africa of 100% RAW Powerlifting Federation, Moses Olakunle Akinsehinwa said in a statement made available to P.M.NEWS Sports that the federation, which has its Africa base in Nigeria, has been working round the clock to ensure that the second anniversary, which will hold on 27 July in Lagos, is well packaged to tell Nigerians of the existence of the federation in the country.
According to Akinsehinwa, who is the president of All Africa Global-World Powerlifting & Body Building Organisation, AGWO, and the founder/president of Nigeria International Powerlifting Association, NIPA, they want to use the anniversary to rally Nigerians’ support for the federation and its activities in the country as well as reach out to the people at the grassroots.
“The planning for the second anniversary of 100% RAW Powerlifting Federation is ongoing. We want to hold an elaborate ceremony to sensitise Nigerians on the existence of the federation.
“We are in constant contact with our parent body in the US and the officials are glad with the progress we made so far to popularise powerlifting in Africa and Nigeria in particular,” said Akinsehinwa.
