2,094 Pilgrims From Kaduna Return

A total of 2,094 pilgrims from Kaduna State have been transported back home after performing the 2013 Hajj, Mallam Yunusa Mohammad, the Public Relations Officer of the state Muslims Pilgrims Board, has said.

Mohammed told the News Agency of Nigeria on Friday in a telephone interview from Mecca in Saudi Arabia that the pilgrims transported home were from six of the 23 local government areas of the state.

He listed the local governments as, Ikara, Soba, Giwa, Igabi, Kaura and Sanga.

According to him, Max Airline has completed the transportation of pilgrims allocated to it from the state.

Mohammad said every pilgrim would come back with his or her luggage, and commended the hajj officials for performing their duties diligently.

Alhaji Ahmad Coomasi, the Zonal Coordinator, National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, also told NAN on phone that the exercise was going on smoothly.

He said pilgrims from Plateau would commence their return journey on 9 November, adding that the transportation of the over 7,000 pilgrims from the zone would end by 15 November.

He also commended the pilgrims officials for regulating the activities of their delegates, urging the pilgrims to be patient and cooperate with the officials for a hitch-free exercise.
