U-20 Women W/Cup Qualifier: Falconets Vow To Stop Tunisia

Nigeria’s Falconets

As Nigeria’s national female U-20 team known as the Falconets depart for Tunisia today, Chief Coach of Nigeria’s U-20 team, the Falconets, Peter Dedevbo, has said that they would stop the Tunisians in the reverse second round fixture of the Canada 2014 FIFA U-20 Women’s Cup qualifier billed for next weekend.

The Dedevbo tutored-side thrashed the North Africans 4-0 in the first leg decided last weekend at the Abuja National Stadium and the coach is optimistic of getting the job done in Tunisia.

Although he admitted that the weather in Tunis may not be friendly for his team, he is optimistic of coming out with the three points at stake in the crucial second leg tie.

Dedevbo while expressing optimism in the ability of his team to take their opponents to the cleaners said: “We have perfected our strategies and I can tell you that my attackers are prepared, the midfielders are also prepared to deliver the passes, while the defenders have been told on what they must do to keep the Tunisian attackers at bay.”

A second half hat trick from Uchechi Sunday and a goal from Helen Okaeme earned Nigeria victory in the first leg. The winner of the match will advance to the final round of the continental qualifiers.
