Police arrest 3 robbery suspects, recover N15m

The Sokoto State Police Command on Monday said it had recovered N15 million from three armed robbery suspects.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police in the state, Douglas Agbouleni, announced this at a news conference in Sokoto.

He said the suspects were arrested along a forest route in Rabah Local Government Area with the money.

He said the money was the loot from one of the traders at Illela market, Illela Local government area, during an operation.

He said three other suspects were at large, assuring that the command would soon apprehend them.

Agbouleni said a locally made pistol and ammunition were also recovered from the suspects.

He said two other suspects, who specialised in attacking motorists in parts of the state, were also arrested.

He said the command had also arrested two other suspects who specialised in snatching phones.
