Fayose Storms Lagos On ‘Thank You’ Visit

The Governor-elect of Ekiti State, Peter Ayodele Fayose and his entourage will storm Lagos Friday in continuation of his ‘thank you’ tour of the southwest.

Fayose, who won the 21 June governorship election in Ekiti State, it was gathered, will hold a meeting with the leaders of the  Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,s and thereafter take part in a rally organised to welcome him to the state.

Speaking on the visit, the State Chairman of the party, Tunji Shelle, confirmed that other southwest leaders of PDP are expected to join the governor-elect on the tour.

Shelle expressed delight in the victory of Fayose and described the governor-elect’s visit to Lagos as added effort in the quest to displace the All Progressives Congress, APC, from southwest states in 2015.

“We are hosting the governor-elect of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, to a dinner and rally to support his “thank you” tour of southwest states. It will be the turn of Lagos on Friday. We expect that the new wind of change he has started from Ekiti State will also blow across Lagos State. We welcome his entourage to Lagos State,” Shelle said.
