Tambuwal congratulates Aregbesola, lauds electorate

The Speaker, House of Representatives, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal, on Sunday congratulated Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun state on his re-election as governor in Saturday 9 August poll.

Tambuwal, in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs, Malam Imam Imam, also congratulated the electorate in Osun for exercising their democratic rights in a peaceful manner.

He said that with the polls over, the onus was now on the political class in the state to rally round the governor to enable him administer the state for the benefit of the citizens.

“At the risk of sounding repetitive, let me reiterate what I have always said: That there is time for everything.

“There is time for politicking and time for governance. Now that politicking is over in Osun, I urge all stakeholders to tailor their energy towards delivering quality governance to the populace,” he said

“The enthusiasm shown by the people of Osun in taking their destinies in their hands and determining who should lead them should be applauded.

“Nigerians should look forward to future elections with the expectation that their voice, through their votes, would be heard and respected by all,” Tambuwal added.

He urged Aregbesola to carry all interest groups in the state along “for the peace, unity and stability of the state.
