Tinubu, Buhari, Atiku attend Okorocha’s daughters’ wedding

The Catholic Bishop of Okigwe Diocese, Bishop Solomon Amatu, on Saturday, charged couples in Nigeria to endeavour to keep their marriage vows.
Amatu gave the charge at the wedding ceremony of Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo, Ujunwa Okorocha and Dr Uzoma Anwuka which took place at St. Joseph’s Catholic Chaplaincy, Imo State University (IMSU), Owerri.
The groom is the son of the Secretary to the Imo Government.
Amatu, who was the officiating minster, said many couples soon forget their marriage vows which he said lead to friction in marriages and possible divorce.
The Bishop urged the couple to keep to their vows and prayed for God’s abundant blessings.
He urged the couple and Christians at large to be close to God and make Him their friend.
The father of the day, Gov. Rochas Okorocha, said that the wedding, attended by both Muslims and Christians, was an indication that Nigerians were ready to live in unity, irrespective of their religion and tribe.
He said that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, former Lagos State Governor, who attended the Church wedding had further strengthened the existing relationship between the South West and the South East.
He said he was humbled by the calibre of Nigerians who attended his daughter’s wedding.
NAN reports that former Head of State and presidential aspirant on the platform of APC, Gen. Mohammadu Buhari, as well as Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, former vice president and a presidential aspirant also on APC platform were both in Owerri for the wedding.
The National Chairman of APC, Chief John Oyegun, former Chairman of APC, Chief Bisi Akande were also present at the wedding.
Also, the Governor of Kano State, Dr Rabiu Kwakwanso, Gov. Aliyu Wammako of Sokoto State, Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara, Chief Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom, Alhaji Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa State, former governor of Kwara, Sen. Bukola Saraki, also graced the occasion.
Also in attendance at the wedding were former Speaker of House of Representatives Alhaji Bello Masari, former governor of Bayelsa , Chief Timpre Sylva, and one time governor of Bayelsa, Chief Diepreye Alamesieye,
Others are one time governor of Abia, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu, publisher of Leadership newspaper and presidential aspirant on the platform of APC, Sam Nda-Isaiah, the state’s chief judge, National Assembly members and other prominent Nigerians.
