Army wipes Boko Haram out of Mubi

The Defence Headquarters on Friday in Abuja said that Nigerian troops operating in the North-East had on Thursday completed the operation to clear Mubi of terrorists who have been operating in the town and environs.

This information was contained in a statement issued late Thursday night by Maj.-Gen Chris Olukolade, Director of Defence Information

The statement said that a mop up operation was ongoing to apprehend any of terrorists who might be lurking around after the group had been dislodged during the coordinated air and land operations in the area.

It added that the operation to rid other parts of the federation of terrorists activities is continuing as planned
