Dimeji Bankole: absent at PDP Ogun rally

It is now clear that the former Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole may be on his way out of the Peoples Democratic Party,PDP as he shunned the Presidential campaign rally today in Abeokuta.

Also absent at the rally was the former Minister of State for Finance,Jubril Martins Kuye.

PMNews had earlier reported that the duo have been hobnobbing with other political parties in the State which they intend to support during next month’s general elections in the country.

While the former Speaker is being touted as a possible governorship candidate for either the Social Democratic Party,SDP or the Labour Party,LP in the State, Kuye may defect to the APC.

P.M.NEWS learnt that while President Jonathan and his campaign team were at the rally centre, Bankole was in a meeting with the leadership of the Labour Party, fine-tuning his arrangement to pick the governorship ticket of the party. The Labour Party already has a candidate, Sina Kawonise, a former commissioner under Otunba Gbenga Daniel.
