Lawyer, Retired Policeman Killed In Edo Auto Crash

A multiple accident that occurred on Monday morning at Okhuahie River bridge along the Benin-Asaba express road, has claimed the lives of three persons, with three others sustaining varying degrees of injuries.
Among the dead are a lawyer and a retired police officer who were allegedly heading to Asaba to attend a court session.
Their identities could not however be ascertained.
The accident which reportedly occurred at about 8:00 a.m., involved two trucks marked ABS 91 XA; XB 995 UKP and one Lexus SUV, numbered SAP 135 AA.
It was gathered that the accident occurred when one of the trucks hit the Lexus car from behind, forcing it to ram into another truck.
The Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Benin, Mr. Familoni Oluwasusi, who confirmed the incident, disclose that the dead victims were to taken Our Clinic hospital at Ore-Ogbeni, Benin City.
He explained that properties of the victims were taken by the police while officials of the FRSC cleared the obstruction to allow free flow of traffic.
