A global entrepreneur and business tycoon, Wilson Edamisan Balogun, has congratulated the president-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari on his victory at the presidential election.

Balogun, who is one of the Nigerians in the Diaspora in the United Kingdom currently investing heavily in Nigeria and a frontline believer in the success of the oil and gas infrastructural development of Nigeria through global partnerships and effective knowledge transfer has congratulated Prof. Oluyemi Oluleke Osinbajo as well.

Balogun stated that keenly contested presidential election is a historic moment for democracy and Nigerians in particular who defied all odds and made history through the ballot box.

He noted that Nigerians in Diaspora have been meeting and strategizing on how to contribute to the workability of the change agenda of the incoming government as many Nigerians believe the time to rebuild Nigeria is now or never.

The business magnate who also doubles as the National Financial Director for Obasanjo/Atiku Youth Student Solidarity Group during President Obasanjo’s campaign days strongly believes that together Nigerians at home and abroad can now start the rebuilding process of private sector institutions in order to ensure massive creation of employment for teeming youths who are crying desperately for employment and empowerment.

He urged Buhari to engage technocrats, Project Management Professionals and industry experts home and abroad while forming his government in order to be able to deliver an effective government that will meet the yearnings of all Nigerians.

The business executive Director, project execution expert and entrepreneur also thanked the outgoing president, Goodluck Jonathan for conceding defeat which helped to calm nerves across the nation. “I think all Nigerians owe him a massive Thank You for the gallant fight and humility in the face of defeat,” he said.

Wilson called on all Nigerians to put hands on deck to make our country greater and enviable to the rest of the world. “It is only God that can crown and remove a King at will and He chooses his appointed at every given time. This victory is for all Nigerians and we should embrace it with open arms,” he noted.

On behalf of all Nigerians in Diaspora (UK chapter), he congratulated the government for ensuring the election was free, fair and credible.

“This result shows that no one can take Nigerians for granted as democratic culture is a great weapon greater than millions of barrels of guns. The people have spoken and we must all take it in good faith. I enjoin every stakeholder in the democratic election to join hands, let’s make Nigeria greater for ourselves and our future generations. I want us to bury all our differences so that we could protect our young and promising democracy.

“I want to thank the electoral umpire under the chairmanship of Prof Attahiru Jega who demonstrated calmness in the face of provocations, wisdom in the face of attacks, gentility in the time of anxiety, decorum in the face of uncertainties and humility in the times of betrayals. You have demonstrated to all the true value of being a Professor. You are now a hero and a worthy ambassador worthy of emulation in our generation and the generation unborn.

“It must be on record that a mutual benefit is derived when democratic power changes hands from one constituted political platform to another
or when leaders emerge through credible, transparent and globally acknowledged process. The Nigerian leader President Jonathan Goodluck has demonstrated tremendous respect for the people of Nigeria through his statesmanship and attributes, we should all embrace this exemplary style in all our daily endeavors,” he stated.
