After an unusual absence from the charts for some weeks, Mavin Crew are back this week on the MTV Base Official Naija Top Ten chart with the hit Looku Looku which makes its debut at number 10. The song comes into this week’s chart at the expense of Unborn Child by Banky W, which drops off the chart.
In the week’s other big chart news, after one of the longest reigns at the top of the chart, Woju by Kiss Daniel has this week fallen two places to the number three position. Replacing Woju at the top of the chart is Davido’s The Sound featuring Uhuru and DJ Buckz.
The song maintained the number one position for a total of eight weeks on the weekly countdown show, which was co-hosted this week by Cool FM OAP Do2un. He treated co-host VJ Stephanie to an intriguing hip-hop freestyle set to the instrumental of Shoki by Lil Kesh.
While Davido has claimed top spot, he will likely be looking over his shoulder already because blazing all the way up the chart this week is Rockstar by Burna Boy, which came in as a new entry at number ten last week.
This week sees the song rise eight places to rest at this week’s number two spot. Orezi’s Shuperu which sat at number four last week drops one spot to number five this week, while Flavour’s Ololufe featuring Chidinma retains the number six spot from last week.
This week’s other new entry aside from Looku Looku is Gbemileke Remix by Skuki , which comes in at number eight, and the week’s ‘Hit or Miss’ track is Play Love by Dipp.
