KORA Awards 2015 Holds In December

Organisers of KORA Awards have announced Thursday 3 December for this year’s edition.
P.M.NEWS Entertainment Café learnt that the event, expected to attract high profile international music stars, will hold at Windhoek Country Club Resort and Casino, Windhoek, Namibia.
Aside awards trophies, winners of various categories this year will also be rewarded with various cash prizes. However, only award recipients that are present during the awards ceremony would receive the cash prize.
The top prize for the night will be the Best Artiste of The Continent and the winner would smile home with a mouth-watering $1 million (N200 million)
Other winners such as the Best Male and Female Artist West Africa; Best Male and Female Artist Southern Africa; Best Male and Female Artist East Africa, Best Artist Male and Female Central Africa; and Best Artist Male and Female North Africa, would get $50,000 each provided they are in attendance at the event.
Also, winners in the categories such as Best Group Africa, Best Group of Spiritual Music, Best Male and Female Artist of Spiritual Music, Best Traditional Male and Female Artist of Africa, Best Traditional Group of Africa, Best Artist of Diaspora, Best Video of the Year would all be rewarded with $20,000 each.
Winners of the Best Collaboration of the Year, Best Album of the Year, Best Artist of Hip Hop Music, Best Artist of Urban Music and the Most Downloaded Song of the Year would get $20,000 each.
Winners of the KORA Legendary Awards will smile home with $50,000 each.
Past Nigerians who have won the KORA Awards include D’banj, P Square, Davido and Chidinma.
