Olorogun-Etti quits PDP, joins APC Elders’ Forum
All Progressives Congress (APC) elders in Lagos Island will on Friday, 24 July, 2015 welcome a founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Ibrahim Babatunde Olorogun-Etti and other defectors.
Olorogun-Etti declared two weeks ago his loyalty to the ruling party, citing in-fighting, irreconcilable differences with the leadership of the PDP in Lagos State, the stronghold of a former Deputy Chairman, SouthWest, of the party, Chief Bode George, and the party’s poor performance at the 2015 polls as reasons for quitting the party.
The former PDP chieftain said he also joined APC due to the inspirational leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari and Senator Bola Tinubu.
A letter from the Elders Forum, Lagos Island East Local Council Development Area and signed by Alhaji Daudu Adegoke (chairman) and Alhaji Abbass Elemesho (secretary) said the Ward E3 High-level Elders Forum meeting would take place on Friday at 65, Omididun Street, Lagos Island.
“The meeting will begin at 3:30pm,” the letter added.
