Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike on Sunday worshipped at the Salvation Ministries in Port Harcourt, where he joined others to praise and thank God for the judgment of the Supreme Court validating his victory.

The General Overseer, Apostle Eugene Ogu, in his sermon admonished leaders to always learn to thank God.

Apostle Ogu called for peace among political leaders in Rivers and Nigeria.

He commended the APC candidate for resorting to fight for what he and his party perceived as electoral violence at courts.

At Salvation Ministries, Wike was accompanied by his wife, Justice Suzette Eberechi Nyesom-Wike, the acting National Chairman of the PDP, Prince Uche Secondus and his wife, Rivers PDP chieftain, Chief Sergeant Awuse and the Rivers State Finance Commissioner, Dr Fred Kpakol.

The governor and his entourage were led in a thanksgiving prayer and praise session by Pastor David Ibiyeomie of the Salvation Ministries.

In his sermon, Ibiyeomie said that giving thanks to God for any feat attained is necessary for more blessings from God.

He said rather than complain, people should cultivate the attitude of thanksgiving to God.

It would be recalled that Governor Wike in his broadcast titled, “To God be the Glory” after the Supreme Court judgement said: “We thank the Almighty God for His Grace. For without Him, we are nothing and we could have done or achieved nothing. “
