Bomb blast rocks Maiduguri, 2 dead, scores injured

According to reports reaching us, a bomb explosion has rocked the busy Musa Usman Secretariat Main Gate in Maiduguri at about 12:00 pm.

Locals and street vendors outside the Borno State Secretariat said the explosion came from a passing motorised tricycle.

Two persons have been confirmed dead and scores injured.

This is coming barely 24 hours after a failed suicide attempt by a suicide bomber at a mosque in Sulimanti ward of Maiduguri in Borno state, which left him dead and several others injured.
