Alhaji Bala Sakaba, the Kebbi Chairman of Pilgrims Welfare Agency, said on Monday that a total of 3,390 pilgrims from the state had been transported to Saudi Arabia for this year’s Hajj.

Sakaba in Birnin Kebbi said that the pilgrims, who landed in Medina, were from 20 local government areas of the state .

He said that they were transported by Max Airline from the Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport, Birnin Kebbi, in four flights.

“Only pilgrims from Gwandu Local Government and state officials remain to be transported to the Holy Land”,” he said.

The chairman commended the pilgrims for their peaceful conduct during screening and departure procedures.

He also applauded the management of the airline for keeping to the flight schedules.
