Enugu police nab 3 over truck theft

The Enugu State Police Command has arrested three suspects, who allegedly stole a truck belonging to an indigenous oil and gas company.

The command’s Spokesman, Mr Ebere Amaraizu, made this known in a statement in Enugu on Tuesday.

Amaraizu said that the suspects were arrested on Monday, through intelligence information, at Obolloafor in Udenu Local Government Area of the state.

The spokesman said that the suspects conspired among themselves to steal the Mack truck with registration number AKU-264 XA.

He said that the suspects stole the vehicle where it was parked at a filling station on the Onitsha-Owerri Road in Onitsha, Anambra.

“Through intelligence information, the suspects were promptly nabbed by the Enugu State Police Command’s operatives at Obolloafor. This led to the recovery of the said truck,’’ he said.

Amaraizu said that the suspects were aiding police in its investigation on the incident.
