Police arraign Painter for allegedly defiling a minor

The Police on Friday brought a 20-year-old Painter, Ali Wada of Gulu town in the Rimin Gado nearby government territory of the state, under the watchful eye of a Magistrates’ Court in Kano for professedly defiling a 10-year-old young lady.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the respondent is standing trial on a one-count charge of assault,.

The police Prosecuting Officer, Mr Rufa’i Inusa, told the court that Umar Idris of a the same village detailed the case to the Rimin Gado Police Division in Kano, on March 16.

As indicated by Inusa, the respondent had on that dedicated day at around 7.30 p.m. misdirected and attracted the complainant’s 10-year-old little girl.

“Wada attracted the 10-year-old young lady into a farmland situated in Gulu Village, under a Mango tree.

“The litigant expelled the casualties gasp and compellingly had unlawful sex with her,” he said.

The indicting officer, in any case, said the offense negated Section 283 of the Penal Code of the state.

NAN reports that the litigant argued not liable to the charge.

The litigant had documented an oral application for his safeguard, which was passionately questioned by the indicting officer.

As indicated by Inusa, the offense is an intolerable one.

He, hence, implored the court to put Wada on remand, pending the outcome of the case.

In his decision, Chief Magistrate Muhammad Jibril, requested the remand of the charged in jail authority.
