First Summer Vibe Concert Debuts In Nigeria

A 19-year-old budding entrepreneur, Adeola Sonoiki a.k.a. Faustino amazed critics of the music industry recently when he succeeded in convincing established music acts like MI, Niniola, Burna Boy, Base One, Terry Apala, Mr Easy, Teckno, Adekunle Gold, Lil Cash, Small Doctor and many others to sign up as performers for the next rated Nigerian concert tagged: “Summer Vibes Concert,” scheduled to hold in August at Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos, where all performers would entertain with a live band.

With a star-studded line-up boasting of the best of Nigerian acts, Sonoiki revealed that the concert would be different in all ramifications as all the artistes would be performing with a live band.

“It is summer time now, music is the vibe. Listening to music gives you a million and one vibe, so we bring that together, to be Summer Vibe. The entertainment industry, doesn’t actually give us enough during the summer time; I found out that all event and music are concentrated in December. Why do we look out for summer? Ask anybody and they will tell you they use it for travel, and relaxation and one of the biggest concerts in the world are all always held during the summer period, now the idea is to put Nigeria on the map of entertainment during the summer, which is what brought about summer and the
vibe,” he said.

Shonoiki also said his foray into the entertainment industry was to also encourage young aspiring entrepreneurs to believe in themselves, as well as encourage their parents to give them all the necessary support adding that he was able to achieve so much because he had the support of his family.

The teenage Chief Executive, who said he aspires to put Nigeria on the world map by continuously
breaking new grounds in business, said he plans to make the Summer Vibes Concert a yearly affair.

“We are not restricted to serious entertainment, it is an empire, and it is going to be a very massive empire. Like I said earlier I have a clothing line, I have a laundry line and now am going into entertainment. So far it is entertainment; I can say you should expect a very good event in
Nigeria and Africa at large”.

While speaking to newsmen, Chocolate City boss, M.I Abaga said he decided to sign up to perform at the Summer Vibes Concert because he believes Faustino is starting something new and unique and he intends to continue supporting his dream.
