Breaking: Gunmen kidnap Ikeja LG Clerk, demand N20 million ransom

Gunmen have abducted the Clerk of IKeja Local Government, Samsudeen Omotayo.

Omotayo was said to have been abducted on Wednesday morning in Imota area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria while on his way to work.

PM News gathered that the kidnappers have established contact and are demanding for N20 million ransom before they could release the clerk.

Chairman, IKeja  LG,  Engr.  Mojeed Balogun confirmed the kidnap.

He said the council was working frantically to ensure his speedy release.

Also speaking in a statement, the Information Officer, Ikeja LG, Mr Onilegbale said the kidnappers had contacted the Head of Administration of the Council Area, Mrs  Mosunmola Otaiku-Okoka and were demanding for N20 million ransom.

Meanwhile efforts were still ongoing by concerned security agencies to rescue him.
