The Kebbi Governor, Alhaji Atiku Bagudu, has set up a committee to audit medical equipment and supplies from UNICEF to the state.
This is contained in a statement by Alhaji Abubakar Muazu, press secretary to the governor and made available to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday.
According to the statement, the committee was expected to ensure accountability and documentation of all assistance to the state.

It said the audit would ascertain and justify expenditure of the state as counterpart funding for assistance.
The governor appointed the audit committee after Alhaji Usman Kambaza,the commissioner of health conducted him on an inspection of items delivered to the three medical warehouses in the metropolis by UNICEF.
Alhaji Sirajo Bagudo, the Adviser on Due Process would serve as chairman of the committee, while other members of the committee include representatives of the UNICEF, ministry of health and security agencies.
