The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Board on Sunday said a total of 2,764 intending pilgrims from the state had been transported to Saudi Arabia since the flag off on Aug. 1.

The board’s spokesman, Malam Yunusa Abdullahi, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kaduna that the pilgrims included 1,984 male and 780 female.

According to him, eight flights have been conducted by Med-view with seven and Max Airline one flight so far.

He said that Med-View transported 2,230 while Max Airline transported 534 by Max airline.

Abdullahi said that the board had made all necessary arrangements to ensure the security and comfort of the pilgrims during the Hajj exercise.

NAN reports that no fewer than 6,600 pilgrims from Kaduna State would perform the 2017 pilgrimage.
