Ondo Govt mobilises support for Sunshine Football Club

The chairman of Ondo State Football Agency, Engineer Tajudeen Akinyemi says Governor Rotimi Akeredolu will take football to the next level, most especially Sunshine Football Club in Ondo State.

According to him, when he took over as the chairman of Sunshine Football Club, the club was on the verge of relegation but with timely intervention of the Ondo State Governor, Sunshine team is now at the middle of the table, number seven position.

“What we are doing now is to have a strong feeder team, national supporters for the club in all the three senatorial districts” so that the club will remain in the Premier League and possibly win the league in the near future.

Otunba Adeniyi invited Ondo State indigenes, organizations, both local and international, to invest in the club through promotion of their products and services.

The football boss said that government alone cannot fund the club, adding that people and organization must partake in the funding of the team so that it can sustain itself, through gate taking, sponsors, amongst others.

Adeniyi stated that in the last one year of the Akeredolu administration, “We have sanitized the whole system so that none of the state teams will go down.
