Group hails APC National Committee over seamless congress in Lagos

A group, operating under the aegis of Lagos State Itesiwaju Ipinle Eko Vanguard has lauded the National Congress Committees of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for organizing a successful congress in Lagos.

Commenting on the development, the Coordinator of Itesiwaju Ipinle Eko Vanguard, Seyi  Bamigbade commended the Chairman of Lagos State All Progressives Congress (APC) National Congress Committee, Senator Uche Ekwunife, for conducting peaceful, free and fair Congress in the state.

Bamigbade, who spoke in his capacity as an observer at the well-attended congress of the party held at the party’s secretariat on Acme Road, Ikeja lauded the seamless political transition and the peaceful conduct of members of the party during the congress.

According to him, for the congress to be devoid of rancour showed that Lagos State APC members were politically informed and intelligent.

Bamigbade said Lagos State has continually demonstrated its ability to transfer baton of leadership, be it at the party level or state level, saying such feats were not common in the country.

“We thank the members the All Progressives Congress, Lagos State  from Wards level, Local Governments level to the State Level for their loyalty to the party,” he said.

He also congratulated the newly elected state executive, led by Tunde Balogun, urging them to continue to perform their duty distinctively and move the party to the next level.

Speaking at the Itesiwaju Ipinle Eko Vanguard, Ikorodu division public enlightenment campaign on PVC collection and endorsement of Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode continuity in office beyond 2019, Alhaji Babatunde Rotinwa, Chairman,  Local Government Service Commission  said the performance of the Governor Akinwunmi Ambode endeared him to Lagosians and the resolve to give him the targeted  five million votes in the coming election.

For Senator Musiliu Obanikoro who was the Guest Speaker at the Itesiwaju Ipinle Eko Vanguard, Ndi Igbo United Forum, in Oshodi, Lagos, it is gratifying to witness Ndi Igbo groups in Lagos uniting for the first time in to support the common course of reelecting the governor.

He said, “I am ready to join Itesiwaju Ipinle Eko Vanguard to mobilize the targeted five million votes for the governor because of all his visible projects all over the state.”
