Mr Godiya Akwashiki, the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial candidate for Nasarawa North, has promised to embark on massive infrastructural development across communities in the area, if elected on Feb. 16.
This is to better the standard of living of the people of the district and the state at large, he told the electorate on Saturday during a campaign.
Akwashiki, currently Deputy Speaker of the state House of Assembly, made the promise while addressing APC supporters at Agyaga, Gwanje and Moroa electoral wards of Akwanga Local Government Area of the state.
Akwashiki, who represent Nasarawa Eggon West constituency at the state legislature, urged the electorate to vote for him, President Muhammadu Buhari and all other APC candidates in the upcoming general elections in order to continue to enjoy more dividends of democracy.
He promised to rehabilitate Nunku/Agyaga and Gwanje roads in the next two weeks in order to reduce the plight of residents plying the road and also to boost their agricultural and socio-economic activities.
“Also within next week, I will sink some boreholes in Gwanje ward, reactivate some boreholes in Moroa ward as well as construct a culvert along Moroa road.
“If elected into the red chamber in the forthcoming elections, I will provide more infrastructural facilities like electricity among other amenities, as empowerment programmes for the youth and women.
“As I always said, my records and my achievements are there and straight forward for everyone to see.
“The people of my constituency and the state at large can testify to what I have done from 2011 to date towards bettering the standard of living of my people.
“I have done a lot, I will do more and you will see a lot of positive changes if elected on Feb. 16,” he said.
Akwashiki promised to carry everybody along and to key into positive policies and programmes that would have direct bearing on the lives of the people of the senatorial district and the country at large.
The APC senatorial candidate further promised a robust legislature and sound representation, if given the mandate.
Besides, he also advised the electorate who were yet to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to do so.
“This is to enable you vote in President Buhari and other APC candidates during the forthcoming elections and beyond,” he said.
Some of the stakeholders and party supporters who spoke during the rally commended Akwashiki for his continued assistance to the people and communities across the state.
Other wards visited by Akwashiki and his entourage include Nunku Andaha, Ningo, Ningha’an, Ancho, Gudi, Akwanga West and Akwanga East wards.
