Laolu Akins Celebrates
Ace producer and multiple awards winner, Laolu Akintobi a.k.a. Laolu Akins, will on Thursday, 18 November, add another year to his age and he has promised to mark it in a grand style as he will officially launch his new studio christened dB 54.
The Abeokuta, Ogun State-born veteran producer told P.M. Entertainment that the multi-million naira state-of-the-art studio will be unveiled first week in January.
He disclosed that in his quest to make the studio spectacular and stand out among others, he has acquired new music production soft wares such as Cubase Studio 5 and Reason 5 among others.
Star artistes who have recorded and mastered their work in the studio include Demola Olota, Ayo Balogun, Semolina, Tasaba, Onyeka Onwenu and Sabo, Yaba-based Hoares Memorial Methodist Church choir.
Laolu, however, berated Onyeka Onwenu for not giving him credit for the jingle she did for President Goodluck Jonathan’s presidential campaign which he (Laolu) produced.
