Recently, friends and former students of the late Harry Garuba gathered in Lagos to have an evening of readings and reminisces in honour of the iconic professor of literature.

Garuba, one of the most talented Nigerian poets and literary scholars, died of leukemia on Friday 28 February 2019 in Cape Town, South Africa at the age of 61.
