Surulere Youths Commends Tinubu, ACN
Youths in Surulere Local Government Area have held a ‘thank you’ rally to commend Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, for endorsing Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN, for a second term.
The leader of the group, Agboola Dabiri, Chairman, Lagos State Sports Council, said youths in the area were happy that Fashola was picked as the party’s flagbearer for the governorship race.
“The purpose of the rally is basically to show appreciation to the party and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for picking our man for a second term in office. The youths are very happy because he’s one of us. We also know that he’s not for Surulere alone but the whole of Lagos.
“He has done creditably well in terms of education, roads, infrastructure and even sports. He has performed very well and he deserves a second term,†he said.
Dabiri said further that a rally will soon be held by the youths to promote one-man one-vote and voters’ registration exercise.
“We are embarking on serious door-to-door campaign exercise in order to enlighten the electorate on the need for them to register and vote for the ACN in the forthcoming general elections in Lagos State,†he said.
