IT Consultant Seeks More Training For Corps Members
Nigerians living abroad are watching with keen interest events leading to the 2011Â elections, in particular, the ongoing voter registration exercise.
One of them based in London, Mr. Ibrahim Adigun, has declared that Nigeria, being the most populous nation in Africa has to get it right this time.
Adigun, an IT consultant said the ongoing voter registration exercise could be improved upon with proper training for the National Youths Service Corps members being used for the exercise.
He explained that there is no software system that is one hundred percent guarantee, adding that several factors could hinder efficient performance.
Adigun said the movement of the machines from one place to another could also be a factor.
He said with patience on the part of Nigerians and improved facilities on the part of INEC, the exercise will be successful.
The IT consultant, like most of his colleagues abroad and Nigerians, is not satisfied with the epileptic power supply in the country, blaming it on the backwardness in the country.
Adigun believes with regular power supply, the country is bound to move forward in great strides in virtually all the sectors and truly assume the position of giant of Africa.
Commenting on the security situation in the country, he called on Nigerians to be security conscious and for the various governments to provide enough equipment and adequate training for security personnel.
Adigun also called for a close synergy between all the security agents so as to quickly nip in the bud crime before it rear its ugly head.
He would also want the judiciary to continue to administer justice without fear or favour to enable Nigerians in and out of the country to have faith in one Nigeria.
