Jonathan Sends Minimum Wage Bill To National Assembly

President Goodluck Jonathan has forwarded the National Minimum Wage Bill and another one for the amendment of the Act establishing the Court of Appeal to the National Assembly.

The president’s letter seeking the lawmakers’ expeditious passage of the two bills was read at the plenary on Tuesday by the Speaker, Dimeji Bankole.

The bill on the Court of Appeal seeks to increase its number of justices from 70 to 90.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the bills are expected to be debated on Feb. 8 when the House members resume sitting from another short recess.
