Iyaloja General Urges Nigerians To Register And VoteUrges
President-General of Market Men and Women Association of Nigeria, Alhaja Abibat Mogaji Tuesday urged Nigerians to go and register so that they can vote for candidates of their choice in the forthcoming elections.
She said it was necessary for Nigerians to exercise their civic right by registering to vote, irrespective of the challenges of the exercise.
Alhaja Mogaji spoke during the visit of the Lagos Central Senatorial candidate, Chief (Mrs.) Oluremi Tinubu, OON, of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), to her Ikeja home.
Alhaja Mogaji, who received Mrs. Tinubu in company of hundreds of market men and women who graced the occasion, stressed that Nigerians can only push out those she described as “stealers of votes,†if they register and vote during the April elections.
She described the ACN senatorial candidate, Oluremi, as her daughter and not just her daughter-in-law, adding that Lagos residents should vote for her.
Oluremi, while responding, commended Alhaja Mogaji’s giant strides in the Nigerian market, saying that Nigeria needs more of her likes. The ACN senatorial candidate said with Alhaja Mogaji’s backing, she has nothing to fear. She also reiterated her pledge not to let the people down.
