‘Enthrone Righteousness In Leadership’
Nigerians have been enjoined to enthrone righteousness in the governance of the nation, and ensure that the vote of the electorate count at the forthcoming 2011 polls.
They have also been warned against selfishness, greed or deceit by members of the political class as this could spell doom for the nation or take her back to square one.
These advice was give by the Lord Bishop, Ijebu South West Diocese, Anglican Communion, Rt. Rev. Babatunde Ogunbanwo, while fielding questions from journalists at the laying of the foundation stone and the N250 million fund raising for the new Diocese Secretariat Building Project, held at Odogbolu, Ogun State.
While berating some greedy, selfish and callous leaders, especially some who have clinged to leadership like a family inheritance, the scholar and eminent cleric reiterated the need for the electorate to take time to screen and vote for trusted, transparent and worthy leaders to navigate responsibly with the fear of God, to navigate successfully the ship of the nation to the promised land this time around.
