Group Reiterates Support For Lawmaker
The Agege Youths Democratic Vanguard, AYDV, umbrella organisation for youths in Agege, has reiterated its support for Hon. Mudasiru Obasa as he seeks another term to represent Agege Constituency 1 in the Lagos State House of Assembly.
AYDV President, Semiu Oyebode, told journalists at briefing in Agege that apart from his wealth of experience, Obasa has impacted positively on the lives of members of his constituency since he became a lawmaker.
“Hon. Obasa is a grassroots man to the core. This can be confirmed through his various empowerment programmes which have impacted positively on the people,” Oyebode said.
Apart from his empowerment programmes, he said Obasa has been a good ambassador of the local government in the assembly.
“Today, Obasa is one of the most active lawmakers in the assembly, contributing positively and constructively to discussion on the floor of the assembly,†he added.
The AYDV president condemned those campaigning against Obasa’s ambition, describing them as those who are not in tune with political events in the state.
“Obasa’s only offence is that he is going for a third term. They are not saying that he has not performed,†he said.
Oyebode commended the people of the local government for their continued support for Obasa and the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN and assured them that Obasa will not disappoint them.
