Dike Commends Wolves

Rangers coach, Alphonsus Dike, has praised Warri Wolves for their battling qualities which saw them escape with a point from the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium Enugu against his side in a Nigeria Premier League, NPL last weekend.

It was a game that Rangers dominated but Wolves dug dip, with goalkeeper, Ambrose Vanzekin in outstanding form, to deny the flying Antelopes.

“Wolves are a good side. They know how to frustrate opponents and they are very good on the counter attack as well,” Dike told SuperSport.com.

The former Flying Eagles coach is, however, confident that Rangers will go on to achieve great things in the league this season.

Until Sunday’s stalemate against Wolves, Rangers had not dropped a point at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, but the veteran gaffer sees the two points dropped as a mere chink in the armour.

“It was disappointing that we did not win but it is not the end of the world.

We still have a lot of matches to play and hopefully, we will give our fans joy at the end of the season,” he said.

Rangers are 5th on the 20 team NPL’s log with 20 points from 13 matches.
