Missing DDC Machines: NYSC Boss Absolves Corpers

Brig.-Gen. Maharazu Tsiga, the Director-General of NYSC, said the two corps members arrested in Zamfara for allegedly diverting DDC machines were not involved in the act.

Tsiga spoke in Sokoto on Tuesday shortly after monitoring the voter registration in parts of Dange/Shuni, Wamakko and Sokoto South Local Government Areas.

“It is not the corps members that stole the machines. The real culprits behind the act have been arrested and they are now facing the law,” Tsiga added.

Tsiga said he had visited 25 states to monitor the performance of the corps members in the ongoing voter registration.

He stressed the need to give the corps members their dues as the teething problems associated with the exercise had been overcome.
