Atiku Returns, Urges Tolerance at Eid Maulud
Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has returned to the country.
PM NEWS gathered that the former Vice President who failed in his bid to get the presidential ticket of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP returned to the country last Sunday.

Atiku had left the country for an undisclosed location in Europe after his defeat at the 13, January 2011 National Convention and presidential primary of the party.
Meanwhile, the former has urged Muslims to emulate the virtues of tolerance exhibited by Prophet Mohammed in his life time.
In a statement in Abuja by his Media Office on the occasion of Eid Maulud to commemorate the birthday of Prophet Mohammed, the former Vice President emphasised that the greatest tribute the Muslim Ummah can pay to the memory of the Prophet is to live by his examples of tolerance towards peoples of diverse faith.
He recalled that throughout his life, the Prophet lived in peace and mutual respect and co-existence with followers of other religions.
He said that the injunction “to you be your religion, to me be mine†best exemplifies the relationship of the Prophet to peoples of other faiths and urged the Muslim Ummah to emulate it.
According to Atiku, the Prophet Mohammed earned the respect of Muslims and non-Muslims alike in his time because of virtues of justice, humility and peaceful disposition.
The former Vice President noted that tolerance is an essential component for building a stable society and therefore, urged Muslims to honour Prophet Mohammed by following in his footsteps.
