Martins’ll Score More —Odigie
After watching Super Eagles and Birmingham City Football Club of England forward, Obafemi Martins scoring his first goal for his club, former Golden Eaglets’ Coach, Monday Odigie, says fans of the English club should expect more goals from the former Inter Milan of Italy goal poacher.

Martins, who moved to Birmingham in the January transfer window scored in the 3-0 demolition of Sheffield Wednesday in the English FA Cup. Odigie believes with more time, Martins could still increase his goal tally.
Odigie, who was part of the technical crew of the Eaglets at the Nigeria 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup, told P.M Sports that the English Premier League is a familiar terrain for the former Rubin Kazan of Russia, hence his optimism that Martins won’t have problem succeeding in the Premier League.
According to the soccer tactician: “I was delighted to see Martins scoring in that match, and I know that he is going to keep scoring. You would also agree with me that he knows what it takes to play in the English League so I don’t see him having any problem with the style of play.â€
The Bayelsa State-born coach advised the Birmingham’s technical crew to give the Nigerian enough playing time, so he could hit form and continue to score.
In the words of Odigie: “Martins needs more playing time. If the coaches at the club wants him to keep scoring, then they should allow him play more because it is only through this that he can keep scoring.â€
