Timi Alaibe’s Campaign Office In Ogbia Bombed Again
The plan by Timi Alaibe, Governorship candidate of Labour Party, to flag off his governorship campaign at Ogbia Town in Ogbia Local Government Area, Bayelsa State, a neighbouring town to Otueke, President Goodluck Jonathan’s community suffered a setback today.
His campaign office in the Ogbia Town was bombed by unknown persons in the early hours of today. Although details of the incident were sketchy at press time, it learnt that the campaign office was badly damaged.
Unidentified persons reportedly bombed it at about 5 am today.
The Bayelsa State Police Public Relations Officer, Egwavon Emokpae, confirmed the incident and said no casualty was recorded.
Since Alaibe dumped the ruling PDP for LP and resigned as the Presidential Adviser to President Jonathan on Niger Delta Affairs, co-ordinating the rehabilitation of ex-militants, his home has been bomb twice and his supporters violently attacked by unidentified persons.
The Director-General of his Campaign organisation,Rufus Spiff, had in the past accused the PDP supporters as the masterminds to intimidate him out of the race.
