Suspect Confesses To Robbery

A 25-year old man arrested with a locally made pistol has confessed to robbery.

The suspect, Segun Ayodele, resides on 3, Faleye Street, Ogba Ayo Bus Stop, Ijoko, Ogun State.

P.M.NEWS gathered that he was apprehended at the railway line by policemen attached to Abbatoir Divisional Headquarters while returning from an operation.

His accomplices fled on sighting the policemen.

In his statement to the police, he reportedly confessed: ”There is nothing bad in robbery because if I come to you to give me money you will not give me. The worst thing that can happen to me now is for the police to kill me and I will go and rest and those that killed me we also die one day.

“I have been doing this for six months with the assistance of my friends. I went to Oko Oba Primary School and Yewa High School, Agege, Lagos and after completion, I could not go further for my education because I failed and also because there was no money for me to continue.”

The suspect has been transferred to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Ikeja, for further investigation.
