Ribadu Engages Youths

Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, presidential candidate of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and his running mate, Mr. Fola Adeola, will on Friday, 11 March, 2011, engage Nigerian youths on leadership issues and their programmes for the youth if elected.

The event, dubbed Youth Ngage, will hold at Gamji Hall in Kaduna and is organised by Team Ribadu, the flagship volunteer group of the Ribadu 2011 Presidential Campaign Organisation.

“Both Mallam Ribadu and Mr. Adeola will address questions by young people bordering on leadership in Nigeria and their campaign manifesto,” Adeshola Komolafe, Team Ribadu’s spokesperson said.

The event tagged “Winning for Tomorrow” will afford Nigerian youths an opportunity to address many of the problems confronting them, including unemployment and insecurity.

The interactive programme will feature live question and answer session by both in-house and online audience using social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube. The event will be streamed live on the Internet as well as on Blackberry.

Those who can’t make it to the event will use the opportunity offered by the social media networks to participate and express their views.

The free event is expected to attract youth and professionals from around the country.

The event was inspired by Team Ribadu’s vision of ensuring not only that the right leaders are voted into political office in 2011, but that these leaders are held accountable for their promises once elected into office.
