Driver Held For Killing 10-Year-Old Pedestrian
The police at Idimu Police Station in Lagos, southwest Nigeria, have arrested a man simply identified as Yomi Otti for allegedly driving his Wind Star Ford wagon in a dangerous manner around Home Foundation bus stop along Isheri-Igando Road, Idimu and killing a 10-year-old pedestrian, Pelumi Adebayo.
P.M.NEWS finding revealed that the victim died on the spot before help could reach him.
P.M.NEWS learnt that sympathizers invited the police who promptly arrested the driver.
The Lagos State Police Public Relation Oficer, PPRO, Mr. Samuel Jinadu, DSP, who confirmed the story advised motorists to always be careful while driving in order to avoid accidents.
The corpse has been taken to a public mortuary for autopsy. Meanwhile, the police have commenced investigation into the matter.

When our man visited the Iponri Police Station, the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, refused to comment on the matter and directed the reporter to the state Police Public Relation Officer, PPRO, Mr. Samuel Jinadu, who confirmed the story, saying the police are still investigating the cause of the fire.
