Transport Union Boss Sues For Peaceful Polls
Commercial motorcycle operators in Lagos State have been urged to maintain peace during the general elections that will start this Saturday.
Addressing members, the chairman, Lagos State Motorcycle Owners Association of Lagos State (MOALS) of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Mr. Tijani Perkis, advised them to conduct themselves peacefully at the polling centres, while also urging them to avoid any act of violence during and after the elections.
He commended the executive members for their immense contribution to the association.
Also speaking, the chairman of Kollington branch of MOALS, Asiwaju Semiu Adelakun charged members to be orderly while exercising their civic right by casting their votes for candidates of their choice.
He praised the state chairman and other members of the executive council over their leadership quality.
He, however, wants the state government to repair Yusuf road which he said is in deplorable condition as part of the dividends of democracy to the people of the area.
