Air Force confirms deadly crash of plane

The Nigerian Air Force has confirmed the crash of its plane at Kaduna International Airport today.

In a terse statement, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet the Air Force director of Public Relations and Information said the crash occurred this evening.

“The immediate cause of the crash is still being ascertained. More details to follow soon”, he tweeted.

The plane a Beechcraft 350 which carried chief of army staff Lt General Ibrahim Attahiru, his aides and crew members reportedly crashed on landing.

The plane exploded and burned, leaving the 12 occupants any chance of survival.
