Forty seven directors in the Federal Civil Service will sit for an examination to fill the five vacant positions of permanent secretary.
The five slots arose with the retirement of incumbents from Ekiti, Katsina, Nasarawa, Enugu and Lagos States.
The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HOCSF), Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan, disclosed this in a statement.
The statement was issued by the Director of Press and Public Relations, AbdulGaniyu Aminu.
According to Yemi-Esan, the 47 candidates passed initial screening out of the 51 candidates that initially applied.
“The 47 officers were shortlisted out of 51 candidates, who faced a screening panel from May 17 to May 21″, she said.
“They are contesting to fill vacancies of retired permanent secretaries and those retiring this year.
“The exercise is sequel to the approval of President Muhammadu Buhari in a circular ref: ACSF/CMO/AOD/012/1X/4,” she added.
