Group Condemns Plot To Blackmail Estate Agent
A socio-economic group, Movement for the Development of Ishawoland, MDI, has commended Lagos-based estate agent, Chief Tesilim Adeola Almaroof for his relentless efforts in bringing peace and unity to the community.
The group made the declaration in a statement issued and signed by its chairman, Olapade Tiwalade and Wunmi Adeola, Secretary, respectively.
MDI also condemned the campaign of calumny currently being waged by the Chairman of United Community Development Association, Ishawo, Mr. Abdul-Azeez Adeleke against Almaroof over a landed property adjudged to be owned by the Aboki Lawani Family.
“Almaroof, being an accredited agent of the Aboki Lawani Family cannot be blamed for the internal crisis in the family over allegation of fraud leveled against some prominent members of the family.
“Moreso, the landlords association in the area have no locus standi to query the authority of Almaroof who was appointed by the owner of the land as their agent. ”
According to the group, anybody with nothing to hide will have no fears about Almaroof’s presence in Ishawoland.
“Anybody that has nothing to fear will not shy away from the man who has been protecting our land from those who are planning to sell a plot of land to two persons,” the group said.
It called on the association to face the developmental problems in the area and allow the land owners to settle their internal crisis.
Chief Almaroof recently instituted a N200 million libel suit against the Chairman of United Community Development Association, Ishawo, Mr. Abdul-Azeez Adeleke for defamation of character.
Also sued in a suit filed at the Ikorodu Division of the Lagos High Court through the law firm of John Olowo, were the secretary of the community, Doyin Ademola and the community.
