Stars Converge For Bent Arrows
The late evening of 14 April will long be remembered as the night blazed so brilliantly in a floodlit glory at the Atrium of the Silverbird Galleria as movie and music stars as well as several other dignitaries gathered for the premiere of the star-studded movie, Bent Arrows.

The event, which started with dapperly looking guests and celebrities mingling with the stars and taking pictures on the red carpet, began in a packed-full Cinema Hall 5 with the introduction of the producer, director and some of the cast of the movie.
The audience, obviously captivated by the storyline of the movie, was quiet for most of the time except for some intervention of claps and uproar of laughter.
When the premiere ended, the A-list guests including Stella Damasus, Genevieve Nnaji, Omoni Oboli, Ope Banwo, Lancelot Imaseun (the director of the movie), Desmond Elliot, Cobhams Asuquo, Chelsea Eze and Kene Mpakru, among others, moved back to the red carpet on the Atrium.
Cobhams Asuquo, who produced the movie’s soundtrack, came on stage to treat the guests to a wonderful rendition of the music. Stella Damasus who also featured in movie and the soundtrack album, took over the stage after Cobhams and gave a great performance that left the audience spellbound.
The writer and producer of the film, Isang Ubong Awah, thanked everyone present, stating that “the story of Bent Arrows is a reality that stares at us everyday with a lot of our young girls going out there without the fear of God in their hearts.â€
Bent Arrows, already showing at the cinemas across the country, tells the story of three young ladies and their trials in the hands of men, parents and the society and how it affects their individual life.
The movie brings to mind the ills of the society against women, the undue parental intervention in the lives of young women and the ills of sexual abuse on them.
